Heartland Wildlife Institute has access to the latest in deer nutrition and deer feeding information and technologies. Our feeds include organic selenium, grain mold binder, chelated trace minerals, and yeast cultures. Ingredients used in our feeds are quality tested. Only top quality grains, minerals, and vitamins are used. We do not use any animal protein ingredients in any of our feeds. Our formulas are fixed, which means, we do not change our rations as commodity prices change. This results in very consistent products, both in appearance and smell.

If you want to improve the quality of the deer on your land and improve your opportunities to observe more deer, you need Whitetail Antler Magic!

Mineral licks need to be placed in appropriate locations and in sufficient numbers to ensure adequate access. When establishing new mineral licks, you may need to establish several and then select the most active to be continued. The desired number of licks is one lick per 30-50 acres for free ranging deer. Place licks near secluded well-traveled areas and bedding locations. Old scrapes work extremely well. Deer prefer to consume Whitetail Antler Magic mixed in clay based soils. The strong apple flavoring and scent will help deer locate the licks.

Lick Magic Mineral

The need for extra salt in the diet becomes a large issue in early spring to mid-summer "green-up." The greener and more lush the new growth, the lower the percent of sodium in that plant. So deer look for additional sources of sodium, such as Lick Magic.
