Mossy Oak® BioMass All League

This special blend of peas, soybeans and LabLab provides nutritious forage in spring and summer and since all the ingredients are legumes, it can be sprayed with a grass-specific herbicide to control weeds.

Mossy Oak® Chicory

Any deer manager who has tried chicory knows it's a dependable and impressive plot addition, especially during the hot, dry mid-summer months. Superior health and substantial antler growth are the most obvious benefits.

Mossy Oak® Trophy Oats

There may be no better attractant growing anywhere than our oats. We've carefully blended Trophy Oats to mature throughout the hunting season, keeping your plot on the minds of deer. Proven to perform everywhere from Minnesota to south Mississippi.

Mossy Oak® Outfitter's Blend

Outfitter's Blend features a selected mix of New Zealand Triticale, Austrian winter peas, wheat, brassicas and oats for maximum attractiveness and palatability. It is forumlated to establish quickly, provide ample nutrition, pull ingame and keep them concentrated.

Mossy Oak® Full Draw

This affordable blend includes A-3 brassica - the most attractive and dependable brassica we've found. Fast-germinating cultivars attract deer in the early season. Late-season brassicas provide palatable, nutrious forage throughout the regular hunting season.

Mossy Oak® Texas Draw

The ideal blend for maximum attractiveness and optimum deer herd health in harsh, dry conditions. Austrian peas, Triticale, wheat, oats, clover and chicory will have 'em coming from miles around.

Mossy Oak® Green Perfect Plot

One planting of Perfect Plot will provide nutrition and attraction for four seasons. Some of the ingredients may last for several years if planted in a large plot (2 acres or more). It's the best way to deliver tonnage of quality, nutrious and attractive forage.

Mossy Oak® pH Fertilizer

Fertile soil is vital to a productive food plot. pHFERTILIZER's carefully calculated mix of nitrogen, phosphate, phosphorous and lime is forumlated to provide the vital nutrients to ensure a planting will survive and thrive, helping your deer population to do the same.

Mossy Oak® BioLogic Clover Plus

There's clover, and then there's genuine New Zealand red and white clover, and then there's deer. Few plants are more effective at attracting whitetail and turkey than clover. Use Clover Plus — a perennial blend of our New Zealand Red and White clovers with our extremely successful varieties of chicory — and you turn that attraction into an obsession. Our New Zealand clover has been genetically developed to produce larger, more succulent leaves and thinner stems for higher nutritional value and improved digestibility.

The chicory provides appealing forage during critical months of whitetail growth and development. Both clover and chicory are extremely hardy and drought-resistant, yielding consistent production through the hot months of summer. It’s a combination of high nutrition, delicious taste and robust growth that deer can’t resist and nature can’t beat.

How to Plant

When to Plant

Clover Plus is best planted by spreading on a well-prepared seedbed at 9 lbs. per acre, then using a cultipacker to cover the seed. Broadcasting on a well-prepared seedbed just prior to rain also produces an excellent stand — the rain serves to bury the seed the appropriate depth (1/4 inch) and ensures adequate soil moisture for germination. Disking is not a recommended method of covering the seed as it would bury the seed too deep for germination. 5 lbs. per acre is recommended for existing perennial stands.

In the south, plant Clover Plus in early fall, as soon as soil moisture is sufficient for seed germination. Spring planting isn’t recommended; frequent summer drought conditions could limit root growth.

In the north, plant Clover Plus in the spring when soil temperature is 50° or higher and soil moisture is sufficient. Fall planting isn’t recommended; frost may occur before root systems are established. This blend can also be frost-seeded in the spring.

Mossy Oak® BioLogic Guide's Choice Waterfowl Seed

Waterfowl migrate every year. Here's how to make sure you're where they're headed. BioLogic’s new Guide’s Choice waterfowl blend may be the most advanced waterfowl planting to ever be conceived. The ingredients and ratios have been scientifically selected to ensure seed production, ease of growth and waterfowl palatability. Highly durable in water environments and able to adapt to moisture conditions in the growing process, Guides Choice is proving to be dependable and successful.

The bulk of Guide’s Choice was chosen for its ability to perform in a variety of conditions — wet or dry — with the additional ingredients in the blend favoring one condition or the other. No matter the conditions, you’re assured a diverse, vibrant stand. Additionally, the millions of seeds formed by these plants not only provide foraging opportunities but also encourage invertebrate activity which is so beneficial to waterfowl’s diet.

How to Plant

When to Plant

Broadcast Guide’s Choice on a well—prepared seedbed or plant with a grain drill at a rate of 40 lbs. per acre. If broadcast, use a cultipacker or drag to lightly cover the seed. Do not disk, as this will bury the seeds too deep for germination. Fertilize to soil test recommendations (www.plantbiologic.com).

Ideally, Guide’s Choice needs 75-80 days prior to a frost to mature but can mature faster under certain conditions. As a rule we would recommend planting in the South in July/early August and in northern climates during June and July.

Mossy Oak® BioLogic BioMaxx

First the deer eat the soybeans. Then the deer eat the corn. Then you eat the deer. The best results in the field start with the most scientifically advanced forage blend on the market. New BioMaxx is a specialized mix of corn and three varieties of soybean seed, genetically enhanced for maximum growth, field durability and palatable taste. Both cultivars work together to ensure a vigorous and attractive crop — the maturing beans affix nitrogen in the soil to produce large ears of corn for autumn consumption; the corn shades the beans in hot weather.

And because these seeds are Roundup Ready®, a planter can spray Roundup® or new BioMaxx Herbicide to kill weeds while maintaining maximum growth, health, yield and taste. This hard-working warm season blend provides an uninterrupted supply of nutritious, attractive forage from summer through the fall.

How to Plant

When to Plant

BioMaxx is best planted by using a drill, but can also be broadcast and covered. Simply set the drill to plant 45 lbs. per acre. Higher rates are acceptable in areas of extremely high deer density. The ideal planting depth is 1/2 inch to 1 inch under most conditions. Approximately 27 days after emergence, spray the crop with Roundup® or new BioMaxx Herbicide to eliminate any weed competition.

Double Crop: In the late summer or early fall, you may broadcast the field with Maximum or other BioLogic™ fall planting for a late fall crop of brassicas. Once the deer have fed on BioMaxx corn, the Maximum brassicas will reach maximum palatability.

BioMaxx should be planted any time soybeans are being planted in your area, or once soil temperatures are 55° or higher.

45 lb. = 1 acre

Mossy Oak® BioLogic Premium Perennial

A blend that lasts as long as the deer. And then some. Trophies don’t grow overnight; it takes seasons of consistent, high quality nutrition to produce those big bucks. Exactly the thinking behind Premium Perennial. This is a highly palatable blend of perennial and annual forages, designed to maximize antler growth and weight gain throughout the growing season, year after year. Extensive research in New Zealand and North America has produced perennials that are extremely palatable and drought-resistant, providing highly digestible protein and minerals during the critical antler and fawn development periods in spring and summer. The annuals — large-leafed brassicas — are a delicious source of protein in advance of the winter stress period. Together, these cultivars yield extremely high tonnage of quality food per acre while addressing the herd’s nutritional needs throughout the entire season. To maintain optimum effectiveness beyond the first year, broadcast BioLogic™ Maximum’s brassica varieties directly onto the existing perennial crop in the early fall portion of the second growing season.

How to Plant

When to Plant

Premium Perennial will perform best when planted in a firm, well-prepared seedbed. This blend can be easily planted by using a drill, or you can machine or hand-broadcast the seed. The seed shouldn’t be planted deeper than 1/4 inch. The use of a cultipacker is an excellent method for covering the seed. For best results, apply lime and fertilizer as recommended by a soil test. If a soil test isn’t possible, apply a ton of lime and 300 lbs. of 13-13-13 fertilizer per acre, or simply use BioLogic pH FERTILIZER.

In the south, plant Premium Perennial in early fall, as soon as soil moisture is sufficient for seed germination. Spring planting isn’t recommended; frequent summer drought conditions could limit root growth.

In the north, plant Premium Perennial in the spring when soil temperature is 50° or higher and soil moisture is sufficient. Fall planting isn’t recommended; frost may occur before root systems are established. This blend can also be frost-seeded in the spring.

Mossy Oak® BioLogic Turkey Gold Chufa

Turkeys love Chufa. Ducks love Chufa. It's just a guess, but we're figuring you'll love Chufa too. In partnership with the National Wild Turkey Federation, BioLogic introduces a new addition to our game management lineup — Turkey Gold Chufa. Not only is chufa incredibly nutritious but wild turkeys and waterfowl have been known to scratch for hours to get at these small tubers. Planted at a rate of 40 lbs. per acre, chufa can be grown successfully all across the country, simply and easily. Best planted in late Spring and early Summer, Turkey Gold Chufa is a great addition to any managed property.

  • Top-quality perennial chufas
  • Produces fingernail-size tubers just below the surface
  • Wild turkey, ducks and deer cannot resist them
  • Chufas require 90 to 110 frost-free days to mature

How to Plant

When to Plant

Chufas are best planted by preparing a firm seedbed by disking. Then broadcast the seed at a rate of 40 lbs. per acre. The seed should be covered approximately 1" deep, and this can be accomplished with a cultipacker or by carefully using a disk to cover them.

Plant BioLogic Chufa in the spring when all danger of frost has passed. Chufas need 90-110 days of frost—free growth to fully mature.

Mossy Oak® BioLogic Lablab

So attractive, deer can't resist it. So hardy, nutritious and vigorous, neither can landowners. BioLogic’s LabLab is a vigorous, twining legume specially formulated for outstanding performance in food plots from spring well into autumn. It’s resistant to insects and disease, grows well even in rough or acidic soil, proves resilient under heavy browsing and produces an incredible amount of forage — plants often grow two to three feet in height. Deer are strongly attracted to LabLab’s large, succulent leaves — an excellent source of protein and phosphorus for antler growth and development. Landowners and managers appreciate how vigorously it grows. A favorite blend for those who manage their plot year-round for optimal deer herd health and maximum antler production.

  • Antler-growing lablab is a spring/summer annual forage
  • Spring/summer planting

How to Plant

When to Plant

Because LabLab is a legume, it can be successfully grown anywhere that soybeans and peas will grow. The standard ratio is 20 lbs. of LabLab to every one acre of land. For best results, plant in a no-till drill after spraying the soil with Roundup® or BioMaxx™ Herbicide — this kills all existing vegetation while conserving soil moisture. The seed can also be broadcast onto a well-prepared seed bed at a rate of at least 20 lbs. per acre. The seed can be covered in soil from 1/2 to one inch.

LabLab can be planted in the spring (when soybeans are being planted in your area, or once the soil temperature reaches 65° or higher) or in late summer (excellent for early season bow hunting plots). For best results, conduct a spring planting to establish an attractive and nutritious summer forage, followed by plowing and planting a fall attractant in early autumn.

Mossy Oak® BioLogic Bio-Mass™ Seed

BioMass is an affordable blend of peas, beans, sunflowers and grain sorghum for spring and summer planting. Developed to provide much-needed nutrition for your deer herd in critical warm weather months - the peak season for antler development.

BioMass is easy to plant and grow, and is recommended for food plots of at least an acre or more. Beyond providing important nutrition for a healthy deer herd, BioMass will also benefit your wild turkeys and upland birds.

Each spring whitetail bucks begin the process of growing a new set of antlers. Biologists term this process antler genesis. It is extremely draining on the buck's body and skeletal system as it struggles to obtain the needed protein, calcium, and other necessary nutrients to grow antlers. During the initial growth stage of velvet antlers, the habitat is often depleted and stressed from heavy browse pressure during the precious winter. Good quality forage is at a premium for both bucks and does with fawns. A steady diet of high quality protein that is easily digested is essential in maximizing antler and fawn development.

Mossy Oak BioLogic BioMass is an important management tool that offers a high quality protein food source through the spring and summer months. No serious whitetail manager can accomplish goals without quality spring/summer forages. (It's the secret to the Midwest monster whitetails. . . lots of agriculture; which means lots of high protein food sources.)

Now, in an easy-to-plant formula, the same high protein levels can be achieved on your property with little agricultural skills or equipment. Don't neglect your deer herd during these critical developmental months.

How to Plant

When to Plant

This blend is best planted by spreading the seed on a well-prepared seedbed at twenty-five (25) pounds per acre, and then using a culti-packer to cover the seed. Broadcasting the seed on a well-prepared seedbed just prior to a rain also produces an excellent stand as the rain serves to bury the seed the appropriate depth (1/4" to 1/2") and ensure there is adequate soil moisture for germination. Disking is not a recommended method of covering the seed as this process buries the seed too deep to allow germination.

BioMass requires daytime temperatures in the 70's or higher to ensure rapid germination. It can be planted anytime during the spring after the last frost date and through the summer and early fall as long as adequate soil moisture is available. When used as an early bow season attractant, plant three (3) weeks before bow season, as long as adequate soil moisture is available.

Mossy Oak® BioLogic Green Patch Plus

Green Patch Plus is a fall planting that combines the proven attractiveness of transitional grains with the nutrition and attraction of genuine New Zealand brassicas and clovers. The result is an economical forage blend that establishes quickly and provides an irresistible food plot from germination through the end of hunting season. Green Patch Plus will deliver scientifically proven performance in large food plots.

Green Patch Plus is best planted by spreading the seed on a well-prepared seedbed at 40 lbs. per acre, then using a cultipacker to cover the seed. Broadcasting the seed on a well-prepared seedbed just prior to a rain also produces an excellent stand — the rain serves to bury the seed the appropriate depth (1/4 inch) and ensures adequate soil moisture for germination. Disking is not a recommended method of covering the seed — this would bury the seed too deep to allow germination.

Green Patch Plus can be planted anytime after September 1st in the south, and as late as late October, as long as adequate soil moisture is available. In northern climates such as New York and Michigan, it should be planted at least 30 days before frost date, depending on available soil moisture.

Mossy Oak® BioLogic Hot Spot Seed

Mossy Oak® BioLogic™ Biologists have known for years that bigger, healthier deer are possible, thanks to BioLogic New Zealand Seed Blends™. Over 20 years of research and scientific development have gone into each blend. These feeds are specifically developed for deer with two things in mind--increased antler growth, and a heavier, healthier deer herd. BioLogic blends produce approximately 38% crude protein and over 80% digestible nutrients, more than any other commercial forage available. BioLogic blends are pre-inoculated, providing you with everything you need to start a successful food plot, and are the perfect choice for all your planting needs.

Hot Spot Seed Easy to plant, fast germinating, and extremely attractive to deer. Intended to be planted in a remote location. Plus the only tools you'll need are a rake and/or blower. Drives big bucks wild and gives hunters their very own private food plot with minimal effort and expense.

How to Plant

When to Plant

BioLogic Hot Spot will germinate anywhere the seed can be raked into the soil and receive at least 1/2 day of sunlight and adequate moisture. It is designed to cover a 3,600 square foot area. Simply use a rake, leaf blower, etc. to expose the soil. For best results, apply one 40 lb. bag of pHFERTILIZER (fast-acting lime causes rapid plant growth) or a regular bag of 10-10-10 to the area to be planted. Use the specially designed BioLogic Hot Spot shaker bag to evenly broadcast the seeds. Rake the area to ensure seed to soil contact (or if possible, plant just before a rain). BioLogic Hot Spot will germinate in approximately one week, depending on soil moisture and temperature.

BioLogic Hot Spot is formulated to germinate quickly, usually within one week of planting, and will remain extremely palatable for approximately 45 days. Plant late summer or early fall.

Coverage rates:

Mossy Oak® BioLogic Maximum Game Seed

New Zealand brassicas are one of our most popular cultivars, and for good reason. When it comes to yield, attractiveness and nutritional value, Maximum is the absolute best annual forage available to hunters and land managers. Made of 100% New Zealand brassicas, the plant species in this blend mature at different rates to ensure highly palatable forage for the entire life of the plot, particularly after the first frost, when sugars flow from the roots to the leaves. Maximum was originally developed by the New Zealand venison industry to promote rapid weight gain, optimum deer health and massive antler growth.

High protein, all-brassica selection. Large-leafed plants from New Zealand deliver 38% protein and are easily digested. Superb in the north for winter forage. Plant Spring or Fall.

How to Plant

When to Plant

Maximum is best planted by spreading the seed on a well-prepared seedbed at nine (9) pounds per acre, and then using a cultipacker to cover the seed. Broadcasting the seed just prior to a rain also produces an excellent stand — the rain serves to bury the seed the appropriate depth (1/4 inch) and ensures adequate soil moisture for germination. Disking is not a recommended method of covering the seed — this would bury the seed too deep.

Maximum is very hardy and will germinate in drier conditions than other common fall food plot crops. However, some soil moisture is necessary, and is more critical than soil temperature. Ideally, plant Maximum at least 30 days before the first frost date, in any of the planting zones. Maximum can also be planted in the spring in northern climates – either frost-seeded or planted traditionally as soil temperatures stay consistently in the 50° or higher range.
